Facing the challenge of getting orders after publishing my gig on freelancing platforms, especially on Fiverr, was a real struggle. I realized the issue wasn’t with the quality of the service I offered, but with reaching potential clients to purchase my gig. So I tested different strategies and found 5 ways that helped me to promote Fiverr Gigs and not only this, these methods also helped me to increase orders, get new clients and boost my services.
In this article, I want to share five strategies I personally use to boost the promotion of my Gigs, services and business online. These practical tips not only increase visibility but also lead to actual orders.
Before I explain more, I want to highlight two most important points here.
Firstly, this article is for beginners aiming to boost career and promote their gigs effectively. If you’re someone who is new to freelancing and interested to get started, this information is specially for you.
Secondly, even if you’re not a freelancer but, for instance, manage an online business or offer services, these strategies can still be applied to promote what you do. The techniques shared here aren’t limited to freelancers; they extend to anyone who is seeking ways to enhance the visibility of their services or business online.
Let’s explore these practical tips that can benefit you in promoting what you have to offer.

Optimize Fiverr Gig: First and Foremost Step
Boosting your Fiverr gigs in search results is a quick and effective step you can take. Perfect for beginners, it helps your gigs stand out, draws attention of the buyers, and enhance your ratings – all at no cost.
Optimize these key elements:
- Gig title
- Your Gig description
- Images and videos inside your gig
- Gig’s categories and tags
When you optimize all these above tips, not only does your gig appear more appealing in search results, but it also becomes simpler for Fiverr to understand and showcase it to the right audience.
Without optimizing your gig’s title for the buyer you are targeting, forget it that Fiverr will automatically position your gig at the top of search results.
Similarly, ensure you write a detailed gig description and include relevant keywords and media that highlights your services. This might include images related to your completed projects and most importantly a video explaining your experience, portfolio and skills of what clients can anticipate when collaborating with you.
5 ways to promote Fiverr Gigs
I shall explain all the ways you can use to promote your Fiverr gigs, with both free method and paid method as well. I’ll also discuss the best options and places to promote your Fiverr gigs, and whether Fiverr’s promotion tools are worth trying.
Furthermore, I’ll be sharing special insights that inspired me to launch my own website, digitcrafter.com.
Here is a glimpse of our 5 ways to promote Fiverr Gigs:
- Use Email Marketing
- Post answers on Quora related to your services
- Publish helpful content on Social Media
- Content Creation (Start a Blog and YouTube Channel)
- Promote through paid ads.
1- Email Marketing
Marketing has evolved, and email marketing has become a powerful tool to connect with potential audience and promote your Fiverr Gigs. I have experienced the impact of email marketing firsthand, therefore I want to share a step-by-step guide for beginners on how to harness its potential effectively to promote your Fiverr Gigs or services.
What is Email Marketing?
Email marketing means sending one or bulk emails to the relevant audience who may be interested in your Gig. It’s not just about sending a single email – I am talking about reaching out to hundreds or even thousands of potential clients every day. The key to success lies in doing it professionally, legally and strategically.
Creating a Professional Email Address
The first step in your email marketing is to create a professional email address. Avoid using personal email address on the generic platforms like Yahoo, or Hotmail. Instead, go for an address that represents your service or company name.
For instance, my email marketing dashboard shows “firstname.lastname@example.org,” projecting a professional image to clients.
Creating your professional email address is easy – check out my detailed post for a step-by-step guide how to create a professional email address for your business.
Building Your Email List to Promote Gigs
After creating your professional email address, the next step is to build a list of email addresses interested in your niche. Using Business Profiles on Google, you can search for relevant email addresses related to your niche, or you can create an opt-in form on your blog or business website for the visitors to subscribe just like I have created a subscription form on my website.
To ensure your email addresses are valid, use tools like AI Web Ranker’s Bulk Email Verifier. This step is very important for maintaining a clean and engaging email list.
Choosing the Right Email Marketing Software
I suggest you to select the right email marketing software, especially if you are beginner. In my experience, options like ConvertKit, GetResponse, and MailChimp are popular, but I recommend Systeme.io for its beginner-friendly approach. It allows you to send unlimited emails and offers additional features like sales funnels, free blog creation, course management, and more – all in one platform. Another important thing about Systeme.io, you can get all features free that are enough for the beginners to promote their Gigs or business.
Importing Your Email List and Crafting Campaigns
Once you’ve chosen your email marketing platform, export your email list from Google Sheets in CSV format. System.io makes this process seamless. With your contacts imported, you can now create visually appealing newsletters using the platform’s editor.
2- Using Quora to Boost Your Online Business and Fiverr Gigs
One effective strategy, the second on my list, is to promote your online business or Fiverr gigs with Quora.
Now, let me break down what Quora is – it’s an online platform designed for questions and answers. What makes it appealing? Well, about 43% of its traffic comes from the USA, making it an excellent opportunity to broaden your Fiverr services or business reach in that region.
To get started, head over to Quora and search for questions related to your Gigs. The key here is to offer valuable insights in your answers, building trust with the Quora community.
Be cautious, though – avoid dropping direct links in your initial responses to prevent potential account bans.
Spend the first 10 to 15 answers focusing on providing helpful information without links. Once you’ve established trust, gradually introduce links in your responses logically. On a personal note, I allocate around 30 minutes daily on Quora, engaging with questions relevant to my expertise such as Digital Marketing, Affiliate Marketing and SEO.
By doing so strategically, you can observe in my Quora profile how I integrate links into answers, directing traffic to my website.
Utilizing Quora in this way becomes a powerful tool to enhance visibility and effectively promote your gigs, services, or online business, especially in the USA market.
3- Sharing of Social Media
The third strategy I want to share with you is using the power of social media. Now, when I say this, I don’t mean mindlessly scrolling on Facebook or Twitter and bombarding your links. That’s not my approach. This approach is not professional; instead, it comes across as spammy.
What I recommend is creating accounts on various social media platforms and focusing on building trust with the audience. Provide valuable information, help people solve their problems, and don’t worry about immediately securing orders or clients.
For example, consider joining Facebook groups related to the services you offer. Engaging with group members and actively participating can be a valuable way to promote your Fiverr services.
Believe me, by encouraging relationships and addressing people’s issues, clients and orders will naturally come your way.
I strongly advise you to make consistent daily posts on social media platforms. For instance, on my Facebook page, you can see I post daily.
Similarly, on LinkedIn, I regularly share updates. Utilizing Instagram is another way I spread awareness about my services. Remember again, the key here is not to spam but to establish genuine connections, offer real value, and solve problems. By following this approach, you’ll undoubtedly attract orders and clients, making social media a powerful tool to promote your services or online business.
4- Content Creation
When boosting your online business or Fiverr gigs, strategy number four stands out as a long term solution that is content creation.
This method involves having a blog and, if possible, a YouTube channel. But don’t worry; if the idea of starting a YouTube channel feels difficult, you can simply focus on creating a blog.
Content creation is a powerful tool in promoting your Fiverr Gigs, online services and business. My marketing blog on digitcrafter is a prime example, where I share valuable information about digital marketing, SEO, and affiliate marketing. The same principle applies to you – create a blog that aligns with your services or online business.
How to Create a Blog?
For those unsure about building a blog, fear not. Head over to my website, where I’ve published a detailed article guiding you through creating a WordPress blog website from scratch in just 10 minutes. Yes, you read that right – 10 minutes! It’s a straightforward process, and I’ve broken it down step by step to make it easy for you.
Getting Traffic to Your Content
Once your blog is up and running, the next step is to drive traffic to it. You can achieve this through social media or paid advertisements. The goal is to get people to notice what you have to offer. Whether it’s through Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or other platforms, the more eyes on your content, the better.
Publishing on Your Blog
Now you may be thinking how to present your services on your blog? Take an example from my website, where I’ve showcased services related to my niche.
You can follow the same method and change it to your specific services you are offering. With this approach, you create trust and show your visitors that you are professional in this field.
If creating your own website or blog doesn’t appeal to you, another effective option is guest blogging.
This refers to writing an article to be published on someone else’s website. Guest blogging is particularly beneficial when promoting your Fiverr Gigs, as it grants you access to an established audience. So for beginners it is one of the quick methods to make yourself prominent in freelancing career.
How you can start guest blogging? Simply start by identifying a well-established blog within your niche, ideally one that attracts people interested in your Fiverr services. Reach out to the blog owner and ask about the possibility of contributing blog posts.
Remember, when creating content, focus on showcasing your expertise. If the hosting site permits, include a link to your Fiverr services or profile. This can significantly enhance your visibility among the blog’s audience, potentially attracting new clients interested in your services.
5- Utilizing Paid Ads
Strategy number five involves promoting your Fiverr Gigs by using paid advertising. Why paid ads? Because you target the intended audience directly by using keywords related to your services. Platforms like Facebook and Quora are best sources to spread your services or business using paid ads. If you ask me which service I use to promote my services online, I use Quora for paid advertisements.
No doubt Google Ads is my top recommend ads platform, but keep in mind that promoting ads through Google Ads is against Fiverr’s terms, therefore avoid promoting Fiverr Gigs using Google Ads.
Why Quora Ads Stand Out?
Well, when you answer a question related to your service, Quora allows you to promote your answer based on keywords and answers both. This means that individuals actively seeking your specific service can connect with you instantly. From my experience, Quora ads tend to be more effective than other platforms.
However, I understand that not everyone might have a budget for paid ads, especially if you’re just starting. If that’s the case for you, don’t worry – you can go with free marketing techniques, as discussed in strategies one through four above.
About Fiverr Promoted Gigs
If you’re looking to get more visibility for your Fiverr gig, you can use Fiverr Promoted Gigs – they’re like paid ads on Fiverr platform. When you promote your gig, it shows up in search results, category pages, and other Fiverr spots where potential buyers can easily find it. You only pay when someone clicks on your ad.
Let me explain how it works: Promoted Gigs operate on a per-click basis, and there’s an auction process. You decide on the maximum amount you’re willing to pay for each click. If other sellers’ bids are lower, you might end up paying less.
You’ll only be charged if your bid is the highest, and someone clicks on your gig. Fiverr then deducts your Promoted Gig spend from your Fiverr balance every month. To stay in control, you can set a budget to make sure you only spend a specific amount on these ads. In my experience, It’s a great way to boost your gig’s visibility and attract more buyers!
Things to Follow When Promoting Fiverr Gigs
When you’re promoting your Fiverr gigs, it’s important to keep a few things in mind to make sure you’re doing it right and following Fiverr’s rules. Here are some things to keep in mind:
Be Honest About Your Services
Don’t make stuff up about what you can do. Be truthful about your skills and what you can offer so that people can trust you.
No Spamming and Fake Reviews
Don’t post links to your Fiverr gigs everywhere, especially in places where it’s not required. Spamming in social media groups or forums can hurt your reputation.
Don’t use fake reviews or testimonials to make your services look better. Fiverr takes this seriously, and if they catch you, it could mean saying goodbye to your account.
Follow Fiverr’s Rules
Take a moment to read and understand Fiverr’s terms of service. Breaking their rules could lead to penalties, like getting your account suspended. Don’t offer services that Fiverr doesn’t allow, and definitely, don’t do anything shady. Keep it legit!
Fair Pricing and Great Service
Be upfront about your prices and make sure you deliver what you promise. Overcharging or giving less than expected can lead to unhappy clients and bad reviews. Let’s keep it fair and awesome!
